I Stood There and Watched: how to handle undesirable behavior
Inappropriate comments and behaviours often creep into team dynamics unnoticed. Colleagues go further than we want and cross our boundary or we see them crossing another team member's boundary. And yet we remain silent. We tacitly accept it. This creates a vicious cycle that becomes increasingly negative, with employees coming to the workplace feeling anxious or unsafe. And where bullying behaviour or inappropriate comments lead to a lot of stress.
During this session, we create a culture shift. From "I stood there and watched" to "I stood there and I did something about it". During this session, we zoom in on what happens in our brain when undesirable behaviour occurs and what the reasons are why we don't react. And how we can change this from now on. We confidently discuss what is there that should not be there and what is not there that should be there. We co-create a new code of conduct and empower everyone to break the silence from now on.
