The House

30 hours that make visible what is really going on in your team

What happens when you step completely out of the daily hustle with your team?

In everyday work, many team dynamics unfold automatically. Our behavior is guided by habits and routines, which means patterns rarely become truly visible.

Who takes initiative, who holds back, how decisions are made… it is often hidden in seemingly small moments.

What remains hidden in routine

That is precisely why we work with the same simplicity at The House. During everyday activities such as cooking together or holding discussions, patterns suddenly become visible. Not because we force them, but because we change the context in which the brain normally relies on routine and efficiency.

By taking people out of their familiar surroundings, we disrupt those automatic processes and create space for the brain to perceive more consciously, reflect and develop new behaviours.

Examining team dynamics under a magnifying glass

Over the course of 30 hours, we step away from our daily routines together and head to a quiet outdoor location free from distractions. This distance allows us to examine team dynamics and interactions under a magnifying glass.

We work with the results of a preliminary survey, targeted collaboration exercises and in-depth reflection sessions. Through this intensity and focus, we accelerate insights that often elude us in everyday reality.

From individual to team behaviour

By living together and taking on specific tasks, you not only see who someone is, but also how you function as a team. What energises you, where there’s friction, and which patterns keep recurring.

Giving meaning to what happens

What sets this experience apart from a traditional team-building is the continuous guidance of Tom Dijckmans, an occupational and organizational psychologist. We make visible what is happening, give it meaning, and immediately translate it into your work context. This takes place in a safe environment, without judgment, where there is space for openness and genuine understanding of one another.

Why 30 hours makes all the difference

The program is intensive and intentionally compact. It is precisely this combination of experience, focus, and reflection that allows you to reach insights in 30 hours that would otherwise take teams months to achieve.

Timeline

1. Grounding and letting go

You step away from the daily context and arrive in a new setting as a team. The first exercises are designed to foster connection and presence.

2. Creating safety and openness

We build a framework in which people feel safe to speak up. Trust is not the goal here, but a natural result of how we work together.

3. Gaining insight into how you function

Through targeted exercises and interactions, it becomes clear how you currently operate as a team. Strengths, roles, and initial patterns start to emerge.

4. Uncovering underlying dynamics

What is happening beneath the surface? Which habits, tensions, or unspoken rules are shaping behavior? This is where real depth emerges.

5. Breaking patterns and experimenting

We actively work with new behaviors. New ways of communicating and collaborating are practiced right away.

6. Translating into the work reality

We make it tangible. What will you take with you? What will change tomorrow? This is captured in a team charter and action plan.
